The IUP can cover up to forty different countries: 12 IUP members, plus thirty correspondent in other
countries: South Africa, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, South Korea, Denmark, Egypt,
United Arabs Emirates (Dubai), Greece, Hong-Kong, Hungry, Japan, Korea, Lebanon, Luxemburg,

Turkey, Venezuela.
Reactivity, reliability. Simplified logistics: we coordinate studies internationally. Homogeneous deliverables, shared methodologies. Cross-country analysis and synthesis. Quality: IUP members share the same demand for quality of observations and deliverables. What kind of gestures are spontaneously used to perform actions on a touchscreen interface? The IUP is running a study with several hundreds of participants in 5 countries (United-States, China, Germany, United Kingdom, France).
Objective : identify and understand cultural differences, and assess their impact on touchscreen interface design.

Yearly IUP meeting IUP members met in Paris on October 2nd, at Design for Lucy's offices. 11 participants coming from all around the world shared their experience, their tools, their vision of the future... and their enthusiasm for 2010!
