PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE

2001: User Interface Engineering (Massachusetts, USA).
- Participated in conducting and evaluating results from the e-commerce study with the research team as an intern.
- Presentation at the UI2001 conference (San Francisco): "Tools and techniques: new perspectives on usability testing methodology".

2000 : Wright State University (Ohio, USA).
- Conducted research about adaptive interfaces as a visiting researcher. Study funded by the US Air Force.
- Article published in the International Journal of Cognitive Ergonomics: "Review and reappraisal of adaptive interfaces: toward biologically-inspired paradigms".

1994 - 1999 : ARTE, the European Cultural TV Channel.
Internet manager at ARTE France:
- Launched the first site of ARTE in 1995.
- Team of 7 persons: programmers, writers and graphic designers.
- Responsibilities included the budget management, the development strategy and the monitoring of the day to day maintenance.
- Coordination with La Cinquième et the European headquarters of ARTE.
Assistant to Technical Manager:
- In charge of the expansion of the broadcasting network of ARTE in France (250 new TV transmitters, 1.3 million of extra viewers, budget $2,000,000 in 1995).
- Technological intelligence and monitoring of the broadcasting of ARTE in France (cable networks, satellite, ...)

1993 : SECTEL / Multipoints (Matra-Hachette group, pioneer in the field of interactive TV games).
Telematics and phone servers manager
- Belonged to the team who designed and ran interactive TV games and quizzes, in partnership with France Television.
- Day to day management of the sales hot line and the customer help desk (120.000 contacts per month).

1988 - 1992 : SPDV (Executive producer of TV programs, subsidiary of the Agence France Presse).
Technical Manager, then Development Manager
- Participated to the launch of Canal Infos and TV Guide, two TV channels broadcasted on the French cable networks.
Canal Infos: news from the AFP 19h/24h - 350.000 subscribers in 1992.
TVGuide: 300.000 subscribers in 1992.
- Design of customized programs for TV channels and on-line services.

EDUCATION

2000 : DESS d'Ergonomie de l'Université de Paris 5. One-year post-Master's diploma in human factors.

1987 : Diplôme de l'Institut Français de Presse: One-year postgraduate diploma (medias and connected fields : economics, sociology, law…).

1985 : Ingénieur de l'INSA de Lyon. A five-year engineering degree in electricity and electronics in a French Grande Ecole.

English: can work in English in an international context. Can write reports in English.

ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTS

Visited 30 different countries. Sailed across the Atlantic in 1992. Cycled from Paris to Stockholm in 1999 (1800 miles).
